The Hampshire Regt Royal Jersey Shoulder Title

Rare Unofficial 11th Battalion The Hampshire Regiment Royal Jersey Cloth Shoulder Title, embroidered yellow on black cloth shoulder title. This title was worn unofficially in the early years of WW2 by the 11th Bn Hampshire Regiment as it was formed from the Royal Militia Island of Jersey the majority of whose members left the island to come to Britain before the German occupation. It is recorded worn in September 1941 but like most such unofficial titles was finally banned when red and white titles were introduced in 1943
